sending mail from your mailbox address
Why do you have a mailbox with a UK street address? Perhaps you use
expatpost because you don't want anyone to know where you live or work, or that you have relocated abroad. So, do you really want to reply to letters, or return that official form, with a foreign stamp on the envelope, or an incorrect postmark?
Outpost is a unique service for British expats that is available to both Private and Business mailbox customers. Use outpost and your letters or parcels will be delivered, by the Royal Mail, with a postmark that matches your mailbox address!
how to use outpost
It couldn't be simpler. Address and seal your
outpost items and enclose them in an outer envelope; but don't apply stamps, that's all part of the service!
Write your mailbox Key on the back of the outer envelope to identify your account and send it to 'Outpost' at your Mail Centre's address.
On arrival at your Mail Centre, the
outpost enclosure envelope will be opened and the letters it contains will be posted, the same day, via a local Post Office so that there is no indication that they have been professionally processed.
fees and restrictions
There are no restrictions. You can use
outpost for items up to the Royal Mail's Small Parcel size format, with any global destination address, by any delivery method including international signed-for or private courier.

Our normal handling fees apply, plus a
to process each manual surcharge outpost consignment, regardless of the number of items, and postage at cost.
your questions answered
Can I send mail from my friends via my outpost?
Yes, of course. Many of our expatriate customers do exactly that, but remember that the fees will all be debited from your Postage fund.
How do I pay for outpost?
All fees and postage costs are debited from your Postage Fund in the normal way.
What if there is not enough credit in my Postage fund?
The system will send you an email reminder and your outpost items will be mailed as soon as you top-up.
Can I 'outpost' parcels anywhere?
Yes, but if the parcel is to be posted outside of the UK or EU, you must include details of its contents in the enclosure envelope so that we can complete a Customs declaration on your behalf, see below.
What information do you need for a customs form?
You will need to provide us with a description of the goods, their value and purpose (gift, business samples, personal use etc.) We are unable to despatch a parcel without this declaration so, if you are in any doubt, please ask Support for their help!
